Probate is proving a deceased person has a will and testament and it is valid according to the state of the deceased. If a citizen dies without a will or one that isn't validated by the court, then the deceased's assets and liabilities are distributed by that state court. This can be costly and time consuming. Arizona is a community state. When a deceased citizen's assets and liabilities are brought to the court, they are split in two ways, community property and the deceased's personal property. Community property is the property owned by the married couple together and acquired together since marriage.
